For a nice alternative to regular perfumes without any synthetic ingredients, these natural solid fragrances have the consistency of an ointment or cream – just dab a little onto your wrist, neck or other pulse points where you might put a regular fragrance, to get hours of a soothing enjoyable natural fragrance of your choosing.
These Natural Solid Fragrances have been imported from India. They each come in a small wooden jar, which is shaped somewhat like a miniature version of Winnie-the-Pooh's Honey Pot (except the top lid part remains fixed and just serves as a handle for the top half, which is threaded on its bottom and screws on or off at the middle of the jar, as shown here).
These small containers are made from Sheesham wood – a dense type of rosewood from the Sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo - sisso, for short) trees which grow in India – and were individually made by local wood carvers and artisans with a combination of hand tools and a small lathe, followed by smoothing and polishing. They are about the same size as a ping-pong ball: 1-1/2 inches in diameter, and 1-3/4" high with their lids screwed on.
